Questions vendors ask

Where does the data come from?

Public records from the State of Texas: the Comptroller's list of sales-tax permit holders, which the state publishes as public domain, and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission's license list. We filter, label and check them before they reach you. See data sources and corrections.

How early will I hear about a new restaurant?

It depends on when the owner registers. In September 2026, 124 of the 230 new Dallas–Fort Worth restaurants on our list hadn't opened yet when their permit appeared, and about 4 in 10 of those planned to open 30 or more days later.

Do entries include phone numbers?

Every entry includes the storefront address. Many brand-new independents don't have a published phone number or website yet, so a letter or a visit is often the fastest way to reach the owner.

Which counties does Dallas–Fort Worth cover?

All 11 counties of the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise. That includes Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Irving, Garland, Frisco, McKinney, Denton, Richardson, Lewisville and the towns around them.

What do I get when I subscribe?

Right away, a 6-week head start: every new restaurant from the last six Monday lists, usually several hundred, emailed within minutes of your payment. Then a new list every Monday at about 6 a.m. Central, covering just that week. Your first Monday list picks up exactly where the head start ends, so no restaurant ever appears twice.

Can I get just my area?

Every list covers the whole metro, so you never miss an opening just across your line. It comes as both an Excel file and a CSV, sorted by county and city. In Excel, the filter buttons in the first row narrow it to the counties or cities you serve in a couple of clicks.

How do I cancel?

Any time, from the Manage billing link in any EarlyDoor email or at the bottom of this site. We'll email you a confirmation with the date of your last list, and you keep your Monday lists through the end of the month you paid for.

Are there rules for contacting these businesses?

Yes. The data is public, but calls, texts and emails to businesses are regulated, including Do Not Call lists, the federal CAN-SPAM Act and Texas telemarketing law. You're responsible for following them when you reach out.

What about other cities or industries?

Dallas–Fort Worth restaurants come first. Houston and other kinds of new businesses are next. Email us if there's one you'd pay for.
